The client’s design brief called for a property of significant quality and a preference for a symmetrical, classical inspired design. It soon emerged that this would be wholly in keeping with the third Lord Calthorpe’s preference for architecture of the classical tradition which in turn will enable the new dwelling to complement the wonderful display of 19th century architectural styles in Woodbourne Road.

The site is located on the fringe of the city core within the bounds of a conservation area. The redevelopment of 121-124 Far Gosford Street includes the renovation of a listed building and a scheme proposal for adjacent land to the rear of 121-124 Far Gosford Street. The  use for the associated area in the rear will be for residential use which is arranged into 3 different house types and 2 Blocks containing apartments.
