Crane Foundry   Wolverhampton

Majorfax Limited

The Crane Foundry scheme occupies a site of approximately 1.5 hectares within a Conservation Area and is situated either side of the Stour Valley railway viaduct of the West Coast Main Line.

The scheme gained planning permission for 193 high quality apartments, 20,000 sq ft B1 space and 230 parking spaces. The principal part of the site bounded by a towpath follows the canal; at the rear of the site is the blue brick commanding structure of the Victorian railway viaduct.

The site has views westerly towards Wolverhampton City Centre. The area is historically industry and a foundry has been on this site for 150 years or more until its closure in February 2006.
