Conservation, Restoration & Renewal

PCPT has gained substantial experience in all aspects of Urban Renewal and Conservation.  Work on Grade I, II and II* Listed Buildings has been carried out as conversion or as parts of larger regeneration schemes.

We excel as accredited Conservation Architects bringing substantial understanding, innovation and guidance to each new project.  We understand the pride and sense of place that each community has in their historic buildings and spaces where the history and fabric of these are an essential part of our social history.  As individuals and as a practice we are active in the community of the West Midlands and work on Grade I, II and II* listed buildings including; Enveloping’ schemes for parades of shops and banks to improve trade and the environment in Birmingham and the Black Country, including a Birmingham Good Design Award “highly commended”.  Recent inner city renewal schemes in historic areas include masterplans for: Coventry, Northampton, Wolverhampton and for larger estates as at Great Barr Hall.

Clearly there will be buildings within lists that require a degree of historic or desk-top research and analysis.  As well as AABC staff we have staff with academic qualifications including MA in Architectural History.  We can give a degree of authority to this aspect of the work.
